GOLF TOURNAMENT

The second annual golf tournament will be held Friday, September 17, 2010 at El Prado Chino Creek Golf Course and hosted by Supervisor Gary Ovitt.

Last year’s tournament was a huge success. The tournament proceeds benefited the Regional Parks Jr. Fishing Workshops program. These workshops, with the help of volunteer fishermen, taught kids how to fish. The workshops were held at Guasti, Glen Helen, Yucaipa and Mojave Narrows Regional Parks. F.O.R. Parks provided 50 fishing poles to get young fishing careers started. At the conclusion of the workshops, Regional Parks held a Derby open to all previous participants. F.O.R. Parks also donated top prizes to the fishing Derby winners.
